Legacy Pipeline Email

Working within the Outlook Portal you will find that the typical compose email options seen in the browser version of PCRecruiter will be replaced with an Outlook compose email screen. When these compose email windows pop up, you will notice that there is a PCRecruiter tab at the top to access all of your normal PCR functions.

When accessing email templates in the Outlook Portal, you will typically be presented with an Outlook compose email screen rather than a PCR screen.

Legacy Pipeline Email in Portal #

PCR Legacy Pipeline email templates are sent from Outlook while the newer Pipeline opens in its own window and does not interact with Outlook directly.

  1. Open a Legacy Position Pipeline from within Outlook
  2. Locate the candidateā€™s Name you wish to send email about
  3. Click the Action dropdown
  4. Click Email. This will open up an Outlook compose email screen with your default Pipeline Email template.
  5. Click the PCRecruiter tab at the top of this window for options:
    • Select an email address from your name records to send to in the To, CC and BCC fields
    • Include an attachment from a Name, Company or Position record or the global attachments
    • Insert or edit a Manager Feedback Link
    • Transform a resume to a PDF file
    • Mark the email as Private so that it does not record an Activity
    • Switch to a different Pipeline Email template
    • Send to a Rollup List of contacts
    • Edit the header/footer of the resume, allowing the recruiterā€™s own branding to be included.

At the bottom of this compose email window you will see options to attach the candidateā€™s resume as well as any other attachments that are linked to the candidateā€™s name record, include your own header/footer in the attached resume and use the generic name for the resume file

Without needing to use the ā€œToā€ field you can check the box at the bottom to send the email to the candidate and/or a position contact if one has been selected on the position record

If you are attaching a copy of the resume and any other name attachments Microsoft Outlook requires you click the ā€˜Insert Selected Itemsā€™ button or else they will not attach to the email.

When you are finished click Send
