Some items that make good use of the Quick Comments area may include, but not be limited to the following:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Out of the office until Monday<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Incorrect phone number<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">2nd attempt<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Don\u2019t call before 5<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"\">It is important to note that this feature is not meant to replace the standard notes and activities areas of PCRecruiter.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"\">Enable Quick Comments in Rollups<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"\">The first step to using the Quick Comments feature is to add the Quick Comments column to your desired Rollup Type:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Select <strong>Rollups<\/strong> from the Main Toolbar<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Select <strong>Any Rollup<\/strong> list<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Choose <strong>Configure<\/strong> from the Action Toolbar<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">In the <strong>Layout<\/strong> tab, the Rollup List Fields are the field columns visible in your rollup list view. The bottom of the list will have the option for &#8220;Click to Set Field&#8221;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">From the <strong>Click to Set Field<\/strong> dropdown select <strong>Quick Comments<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Move this new field wherever you desire in your Rollup Layout by dragging and dropping<\/span>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Note: If you have not previously customized your rollup layout, you will need to add any other fields you would like to view in the same fashion; as this will override the template layout you were previously using.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">If desired, choose to <strong>sort<\/strong> your rollup lists via Quick Comments. Choosing this setting will automatically show your records alphabetically based on this new column.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\"><strong>Save<\/strong> your changes<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><span style=\"\">Using Quick Comments<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"\">Once you have added the Quick Comments column to your Rollup Layout you can begin adding comments to your rollup records. Keep in mind, you will need to refresh the Rollup List you had open to see the change.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Select <strong>Rollup<\/strong> from the Main Toolbar<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Select a <strong>Rollup List<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">As you begin working your way through your Rollup, click into the<strong> Quick Comments<\/strong> column to enter a comment<\/span>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Note: You can use Tab on your keyboard to quickly move between rows. There is also no need to save once the comment has been added. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><span style=\"\">Viewing Previous Quick Comment<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"\">It is important to note that the Quick Comment column is reserved to hold only the most recent comment. If for any reason you need to view the Quick Comment that was previously in the cell it can be found in the Change Log.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Select the <strong>record<\/strong> you would like to see a previous Quick Comment for<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Select <strong>Change Log<\/strong> from the navigation menu<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">View the <strong>Quick Comments<\/strong> field where you will see the \u201cbefore\u201d and \u201cafter\u201d value.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rollup Quick Comments were designed to allow users to add a quick note while working through a rollup lists.
