These will cause specific options in the Activity screen to start with your selected setting rather than the system&#8217;s built-in choices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span>To access this screen:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span><strong>Open <\/strong>any Name, Company, or Position<\/span>. The defaults set will affect all records of that type.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span>Click the <strong>Add Activity <\/strong>button in the action menu (word bubbles icon)<\/span>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span>Click the &#8216;gear&#8217; icon in the lower left corner.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span>Defaults<\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span><strong>Activity Type<\/strong> \u2014 When creating an activity, rather than \u201cSYSTEM-System Generated Activity\u201d appearing in the Activity Type selector, the selected Activity Type will default.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span><strong>Copy to Company<\/strong> <span>\u2014 <\/span> Creates an additional activity on the Company record that the name is attached to<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span><strong>Paste Full Description<\/strong> <span>\u2014 <\/span> Shows the description of the activity in the Activity Textbox<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span><strong>Place on Schedule<\/strong> <span>\u2014 <\/span> Automatically place every activity made on your schedule<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span><strong>Add Alarm<\/strong><span> \u2014 <\/span>Prompts an alarm to appear at the time designated by the Alarm Increment option if desired<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span><strong>Alarm Notification<\/strong> <span>\u2014<\/span> How long before the activity an alarm will appear<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span><strong>Default Schedule Duration<\/strong> \u2014 Length of event on your schedule<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span><strong>Show options for activities<\/strong> \u2014 Items listed as show will appear in the Activity Textbox upon creating the activity:<\/span>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span>Name<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Company<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Title<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work Phone<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Home Phone<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cell Phone <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span><strong>Create Separate Follow-Up Activity<\/strong> \u2014 Selects the option to create a separate activity for follow-up (rather than it appearing in the activity text box)<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span><strong>Follow-Up Activity Type<\/strong> \u2014 You must use this option when using \u201cCreate Separate Follow-Up Activity\u201d. This dictates the additional activity that is written<\/span>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span><strong>Default User Selection<\/strong> \u2014 The users selected will have the follow-up added to their schedule<\/span>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span><strong>Follow-Up Duration<\/strong> \u2014 How long the follow-up will be on your schedule<\/span>?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span><strong>Auto Schedule Follow-Up<\/strong> \u2014 Number of days between the initial schedule item and the automatic follow-up<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span><strong>Show Shared Activity<\/strong> \u2014 Enables ability to copy the activity to a name record<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span>Event Type Colors<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Color Coding is a great way to keep Activity Types and Schedule appointments visually organized. These can be configured from two different screens:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>From the Schedule:\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select <strong>Schedule <\/strong>from the main menu<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the <strong>Add<\/strong> option in the lower frame to open the Add Appointment popup.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the &#8216;gear&#8217; icon at the lower left corner of the popup.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>From the Activity Defaults:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span><strong>Open <\/strong>any Name, Company, or Position<\/span> record.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span><span><span>Click the <strong>Add Activity <\/strong>button in the action menu (word bubbles icon)<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span>Click the &#8216;gear&#8217; icon at the lower left corner of the popup.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you are viewing the <strong>Event Types<\/strong> window:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Enter a label (e.g. Phone Screen, Initial Contact, Call Plan, Lunch, Out of Office, etc.) for any Type.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drag the items into your desired order.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Save<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-size: revert;background-color: var(--global--color-background);color: var(--global--color-primary);font-family: var(--global--font-secondary)\">These colors will now be available in your Activity and Schedule screens.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Save time when logging Activities by setting default behaviors.
