{"id":5723,"date":"2016-06-10T17:09:01","date_gmt":"2016-06-10T17:09:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/learning2.pcrecruiter.net\/?p=5723"},"modified":"2024-01-05T15:52:49","modified_gmt":"2024-01-05T15:52:49","password":"","slug":"sending-emails","status":"publish","type":"docs","link":"https:\/\/learning.pcrecruiter.net\/site\/docs\/pcr-for-outlook\/sending-emails\/","title":{"rendered":"Legacy Pipeline Email"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Working within the Outlook Portal you will find that the typical compose email options seen in the browser version of PCRecruiter will be replaced with an Outlook compose email screen. When these compose email windows pop up, you will notice that there is a PCRecruiter tab at the top to access all of your normal PCR functions.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When accessing email templates in the Outlook Portal, you will typically be presented with an Outlook compose email screen rather than a PCR screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Legacy Pipeline Email in Portal<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PCR Legacy Pipeline email templates are sent from Outlook while <\/span>the newer Pipeline opens in its own window and does not interact with Outlook directly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Open a <strong>Legacy Position Pipeline<\/strong> from within Outlook<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Locate the candidate\u2019s <strong>Name <\/strong>you wish to send email about<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click the <strong>Action <\/strong>dropdown<\/span><\/li><li>Click <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Email<\/strong><\/span>. <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This will open up an Outlook compose email screen with your default Pipeline Email template<\/span>.<\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click the <strong>PCRecruiter <\/strong>tab at the top of this window for options:<\/span><ul><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Select an email address from your name records to send to in the To, CC and BCC fields<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Include an attachment from a Name, Company or Position record or the global attachments<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Insert or edit a Manager Feedback Link<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Transform a resume to a PDF file<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mark the email as Private<\/span> so that it does not record an Activity<\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Switch to a different Pipeline Email template<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Send to a Rollup List of contacts<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Edit the header\/footer of the resume, allowing the recruiter\u2019s own branding<\/span> to be included.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the bottom of this compose email window you will see options to attach the candidate\u2019s resume as well as any other attachments that are linked to the candidate\u2019s name record, include your own header\/footer in the attached resume and use the generic name for the resume file<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Without needing to use the \u201cTo\u201d field you can check the box at the bottom to send the email to the candidate and\/or a position contact if one has been selected on the position record<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you are attaching a copy of the resume and any other name attachments Microsoft Outlook requires you click the \u2018Insert Selected Items\u2019 button or else they will not attach to the email.<a href=\"https:\/\/learning.pcrecruiter.net\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2016\/06\/image-41.png\"><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When you are finished click <strong>Send<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Resume Routing in Portal<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Routing resumes in PCRecruiter will allow you to select one or multiple candidate resumes in a position\u2019s pipeline and send them off to a hiring manager. The steps on how to do this in Outlook Portal are below.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Open a Legacy Position Pipeline<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Place a checkmark to the <\/span>left of the candidates for whom you wish to send a resume.<\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From the Action menu, select the Routing option<\/span>. <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This will open up an Outlook compose email window with your default Pipeline Routing template. <\/span><ul><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Selecting the PCRecruiter tab at the top of this window will allow you to select a different template as well as many of the other options mentioned above.<a href=\"https:\/\/learning.pcrecruiter.net\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2016\/06\/pasted-image-0-4.png\"><\/a><\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the bottom of the window you will have options to select all candidate resumes, select\/deselect all candidate profiles and checkboxes to include the resume header\/footer as well as using the generic name for the resume file as the attachment.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To include all attachments in the email Outlook requires that you click the \u2018Insert Selected Items\u2019 button at the bottom<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click <strong>Send<\/strong> to email your routing template<\/span> and resumes.<\/li><\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Working within the Outlook Portal you will find that the typical compose email options seen in the browser version of PCRecruiter will be replaced with an Outlook compose email screen.
