Items that you add to your Outlook Calendar can be copied to the PCRecruiter Schedule in your linked database. Items added to your PCRecruiter Schedule can be automatically synced to the Outlook schedule within a short period. Here you will learn how to change the calendar syncing options as well as a couple options to view\/link PCR records to scheduled items.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"\">Change the Calendar Syncing Method<\/span><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">In Microsoft Outlook go to the PCRecruiter tab at the top<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Click \u2018Options\u2019<a href=\"https:\/\/learning.pcrecruiter.net\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2016\/06\/outlook.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6572\" src=\"https:\/\/learning.pcrecruiter.net\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2016\/06\/outlook.png\" alt=\"outlook\" width=\"491\" height=\"135\" \/><\/a><\/span><span style=\"\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">From the window that pops up click the \u2018Calendar Sync\u2019 tab towards the middle<a href=\"https:\/\/learning.pcrecruiter.net\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2016\/06\/outlook_cal_sync.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6573\" src=\"https:\/\/learning.pcrecruiter.net\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2016\/06\/outlook_cal_sync.png\" alt=\"outlook_cal_sync\" width=\"449\" height=\"319\" \/><\/a><\/span><span style=\"\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Selecting the Synchronize Direction dropdown will allow you change how scheduled items transfer between calendars<\/span><span style=\"\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">No Synchronization &#8211; Calendars do not communicate with each other<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Sync Changes in Both Directions &#8211; All scheduled items will be seen from either calendar (**Note: this will duplicate pop up reminder alarms**)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Sync Changes from Outlook to PCRecruiter &#8211; This will copy Outlook scheduled items over to PCRecruiter<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Sync Changes from PCRecruiter to Outlook &#8211; This will copy PCRecruiter scheduled items over to Outlook<a href=\"https:\/\/learning.pcrecruiter.net\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2016\/06\/outlook_sync_options.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6574\" src=\"https:\/\/learning.pcrecruiter.net\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2016\/06\/outlook_sync_options.png\" alt=\"outlook_sync_options\" width=\"448\" height=\"211\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Click \u2018Save &amp; Close\u2019 at the bottom to change your calendar syncing options<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><span style=\"\">Viewing\/Linking Records from the Outlook Calendar<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"\">If you have PCRecruiter scheduled items that are linked to records and synced to your Outlook calendar you can jump to those records easily from your Outlook.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Go to your Outlook calendar and right click on the scheduled item<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Options will appear at the bottom of the dropdown associated with your PCRecruiter records:<\/span><span style=\"\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Jump to Record &#8211; Will take you right to the linked Company, Name or Position record<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">View Record Activities &#8211; Will take you to that linked record\u2019s activities section<a href=\"https:\/\/learning.pcrecruiter.net\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2016\/06\/outlook_view_and_link.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6575\" src=\"https:\/\/learning.pcrecruiter.net\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2016\/06\/outlook_view_and_link.png\" alt=\"outlook_view_and_link\" width=\"276\" height=\"251\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Create Record Activity &#8211; Will allow you to generate a new activity for that linked record<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Jump to Sendout &#8211; If you have a scheduled interview that was generated from PCRecruiter\u2019s pipeline you will be able to jump to that interview record with this option<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\n<span style=\"\">You can create appointments in Outlook while linking them to records and even rollup lists from your PCRecruiter database.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Right click on a date in your Outlook calendar and select New Appointment<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Put in your subject, location, start\/end time, notes, etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Go to the PCRecruiter tab at the top of the appointment window and go to the dropdown to the right<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Click the dropdown and select the record type or rollup you wish to link to the appointment<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Now click the \u2018Select Record\u2019 text right above the dropdown and search for the record or rollup and select it<\/span><span style=\"\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Save and close your scheduled appointment and now you will have the same right click options in your Outlook appointments\u00a0as you would with PCRecruiter appointments that are synced to your Outlook calendar.<a href=\"https:\/\/learning.pcrecruiter.net\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2016\/06\/outlook_record_select.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6576\" src=\"https:\/\/learning.pcrecruiter.net\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2016\/06\/outlook_record_select.png\" alt=\"outlook_record_select\" width=\"487\" height=\"236\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Syncing your Outlook and PCR Calendar The Portal makes your Outlook Calendar an integrated part of managing your daily tasks in PCRecruiter.
