Each person will get a unique SMS without it being a group SMS<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"\">Bulk SMS are commonly used to:<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Request an information update<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Send information about openings<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">SMS marketing material<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Give a position status update<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"\">Opt In<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"\">Candidates must \u201cOpt In\u201d to receive a bulk SMS. There is an insert field for \u201cSMS Opt In\u201d and \u201cSMS Opt Out\u201d that can be added to a form letter, signature, or stationary. By default there is a SMS Opt In form letter (SMS Opt-in Form) which cannot be erased.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"\">To Configure The Provided Form Letter<\/span><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Select System from the main toolbar<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Select Form Letters<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Name Letters<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Locate the pre-built letter titled \u201cSMS Opt-In Form\u201d and select<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Edit this letter to fit your company\u2019s needs, notice the Opt In and Opt Out links are already included.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3><span style=\"\">To Create a Custom Form Letter<\/span><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Select System from the main toolbar<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Select Form Letters<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Name Letters<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Add Letter<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Create your custom letter here, <a href=\"https:\/\/learning.pcrecruiter.net\/creating-name-letters\/\">click here<\/a> to learn more about creating form letters<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Select Insert Fields to add the Opt In and Opt Out links accordingly. Be sure to include instructions for the recipients (Text <\/span><i><span style=\"\">Subscribe<\/span><\/i><span style=\"\"> to [[SMS Opt In Link]])<\/span>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">*Note: SMS Opt In Link will auto populate with the phone number to text<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3><span style=\"\">Sending the Opt In Default Form Letter<\/span><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Select Rollups from the main toolbar (Not sure how to create a rollup?<a href=\"https:\/\/learning.pcrecruiter.net\/create-a-rollup-list\/\"> Click here<\/a> to learn how.)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Select the names you wish to send the letter to<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">From the action menu on the right side of the screen select SMS<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Choose Opt Out to view the names that have not yet opted in to receive SMS messages<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Select the names and choose invite<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4><span style=\"\">Use standard bulk emailing procedure to send the custom form letter.\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n<h2><span style=\"\">Sending a Bulk SMS<\/span><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Select Rollups from the main toolbar<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Choose the rollup you wish to send an SMS (This can also be done through a search results list.)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Choose the records to which you would like to send the SMS. This can be done by individually checking their names or using the select function.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Choose the SMS icon from the action toolbar on the right side of the screen.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Compose the SMS<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">Click Send<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"\">Ring Central does throttle or limit how many SMS messages can be sent per phone number to 10 per 60 seconds. In a search result or rollup you can select individually or by page.
