Name Records are commonly used for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Storing contact information<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tagging with a skill set for future searches<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Communicating via email and text<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Add a Name Record <em>Without <\/em>a Resume<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-vimeo wp-block-embed-vimeo watch\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Add Name without Resume\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/941602162?h=ab1c38e62a&amp;dnt=1&amp;app_id=122963\" width=\"750\" height=\"465\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; fullscreen; picture-in-picture; clipboard-write\"><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Since all Name Records must be associated with a Company Record, adding a Name is usually done directly from an existing Company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/learning.pcrecruiter.net\/site\/docs\/searching\/basic-search\/\" data-type=\"docs\" data-id=\"5535\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Search<\/a> for the company record the name is associated with. If this is a candidate, you will typically associate them with the <a href=\"https:\/\/learning.pcrecruiter.net\/site\/docs\/adding-records\/adding-companies\/#default-company\">Default Company<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>From the search results screen, select <strong>Action <\/strong>in the &#8216;I Want To&#8217; column followed by <strong>Add Name<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Or, open the company record then select the <strong>Add Name<\/strong> action icon.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter the appropriate name details<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the <strong>Save<\/strong> button from the action menu.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Add a Name Record <em>With<\/em> a Resume<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-vimeo wp-block-embed-vimeo watch\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Add Name with Resume\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/941601612?h=c66bd1178c&amp;dnt=1&amp;app_id=122963\" width=\"750\" height=\"467\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; fullscreen; picture-in-picture; clipboard-write\"><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Use this method to add a resume to the database. This process will create their name record and associate the resume simultaneously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol style=\"list-style-type:video\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/learning.pcrecruiter.net\/site\/docs\/searching\/basic-search\/\" data-type=\"docs\" data-id=\"5535\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Search<\/a> for the company record the name is associated with. If this is a candidate, you will typically associate them with the <a href=\"https:\/\/learning.pcrecruiter.net\/site\/docs\/adding-records\/adding-companies\/#default-company\">Default Company<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>From the search results screen, select <strong>Action <\/strong>in the &#8216;I Want To&#8217; column followed by&nbsp;<strong>Add Resume<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Or, open the company record and select the <strong>Add Resume<\/strong> action icon<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Open<\/strong> to browse and select a file on your computer, or click <strong>Paste<\/strong> to process clipboard contents into the add resume tool<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Modify extracted information as needed. Specify Source, Position, or Rollup if desired.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>Click to View Name Record<\/strong> to jump to the newly created record and interact with the new name.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The NAMES navigation tab on any Company Record also has the same options for <strong>Add Name<\/strong> and <strong>Add Resume&nbsp;<\/strong>in the action menu dropdown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*<em><a href=\"https:\/\/learning.pcrecruiter.net\/add-resumes\/\">PCRecruiter Portal for Outlook Users<\/a>:<\/em> Right click on an attached resume file and select PCRecruiter: Parse Resume. Follow steps 4-7 above.<br>*<em>PCRMail Users:<\/em> Click Add to PCR next to the resume file attached to an email.
