Using PCR in Outlook gives users synchronization features, faster workflows, and familiar communication tools, while reducing time spent switching between programs. Please note that the plug-in only works with the classic version of Outlook. If your device does not already have the classic outlook installed you can download it <a href=\"https:\/\/apps.microsoft.com\/detail\/xp9mhd8pgh9n47?hl=en-US&amp;gl=US\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HERE<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Preparation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Download the installer from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcrecruiter.net\/download\/pcrportal.exe\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pcrecruiter.net\/download\/pcrportal.exe<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have your Portal license key handy, which will be provided to you by your PCRecruiter account representative.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have your login URL and username\/password handy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Some versions of Outlook have a user interface option that may need to be toggled if the Reading Pane is not opening properly:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Some versions of Outlook have a User Interface option that you will need to toggle if the reading pane is not opening properly.&nbsp; Follow these steps to adjust the setting:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open Outlook <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose <strong>Options<\/strong> from the File menu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the <strong>General <\/strong>section, look under User Interface options. Modify height and width if desired. --><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Portal Installation\" class=\"embeddedObject shadow resizable\" name=\"embedded_content\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" type=\"text\/html\"         style=\"overflow:hidden;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.screencast.com\/users\/DylanBello\/folders\/Hidden%20Items\/media\/24507d49-1d20-4c39-b3b6-f1ebe05938d6\/embed\" height=\"1080\" width=\"1920\" webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If not already done, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcrecruiter.net\/download\/pcrportal.exe\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">download the installer<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open the download file and follow the prompts to install.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once install has finished, open Outlook.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter your Portal License number in the pop up<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Add Connection<\/strong> in second pop up<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter your PCR Database URL<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Go<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter User Name and password for PCR, and select appropriate database from drop down menu<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>OK<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose whether to sync calendars and whether to write email activities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Re-enter PCR password and check the box to remember the password<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Test Connection<\/strong>. If successful, click <strong>OK <\/strong>then click <strong>Save <\/strong>and <strong>Close<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-us.googleusercontent.com\/jhc2AP-2KT3i6pRYEyKpg1xh1c73W0BRJTWS29SItdsJveCsA0a0jWFHs4Ti6knpslFIZEh5LHiPS81AoPT0wAgGFM9QuVIY2Z8Ja9pDvyew_XtAsrtMzLDonkmqf5F9x35kHc_K6wAZzZjGDgLgH20\" alt=\"image\" title=\"image\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Additional Settings<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the installation is complete and you can display a PCR page within Outlook, you may be prompted to run the Control loader. Click the checkbox and then Open so you are not prompted each time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you sync your PCRecruiter Schedule with your Outlook Calendar, you can receive alarms from both PCRecruiter and Outlook.
